Missing Dad
(2018)
Excellent and moving examination of what life is like for children who have a parent in prison - Radio Times ★★★★★
A remarkable film - Kate Jackson, The Sun
250,000 kids have a parent in prison in this country and yet it is so often shrouded in secrecy. Missing Dad tells the story of Flynn, Tala and Maisie who have Dads serving long term prison sentences. They are bravely standing up against the stigma attached to them.
This is a story I’d been wanting to tell for many years; the CBBC My Life strand was the perfect platform because all their films feature children as the main characters and are aimed at a young audience.
